Since 2021, we’ve been committed to growing the FinTech community on campus.
Our Story
The FinTech Club at Virginia Tech was founded in 2021. The founding team – Jack Thompson, Ruben Mosley, Dawson Xiao, Parth Patel, Adam Gladfelter, and Adam McMarrow – saw an opportunity to bring fellow FinTech majors and enthusiasts together, which aligned with the at the time newly minted FinTech & Big Data Analytics major.
Since then, the club has grown to over 40+ active members from a diverse set of majors even beyond the FinTech major. Through social events, professional development workshops, and project work, the club strives to provide both professional and social opportunities for students to grow.

3 successful internal case study and stock market competitions
Coordinated trips to New York & Charlotte to visit and network with various Wall Street companies
Hosted partnership events with Bank of America, Citi, and Deloitte among others
Hosted joint networking events with other Virginia Tech clubs
